Project Objective
The project aims to strengthen Europe’s capacity to anticipate and respond to emerging skills needs in the aerospace and defence sectors. It supports the development of forward-looking, inclusive, and cross-sectoral upskilling and reskilling strategies aligned with key EU priorities, such as the green and digital transitions, cross-sector mobility, and the industrial readiness of the defence sector.
The aerospace and defence sectors play a crucial role in ensuring Europe’s security, technological sovereignty, and economic competitiveness. At the same time, they face increasing challenges in attracting and retaining talent, particularly for highly specialized technical positions and new, emerging professions.
The SKILLS4ADC+ project addresses this challenge by strengthening the skills ecosystem for the aerospace and defence sectors through the development of evidence-based, scalable, and inclusive upskilling and reskilling solutions, as well as by preparing a strategy to support the development of SMEs in this area.
The project builds on the experience and collaboration networks of partners from seven EU Member States, including leading industrial companies, SMEs, universities, vocational education and training (VET) providers, clusters, and social partners—all members of the Pact for Skills initiative. This collaboration will provide a solid foundation for joint actions aimed at strengthening the Pact’s ambition to create resilient industrial skills ecosystems capable of meeting future challenges.
